All the Songs from Dream
music by Howard Kilik
adaptation and lyrics by Tony Howarth
Lyrics to "I Like You Like This" by Bonnie Sanders
  1. Dream! - The opening number

  2. I Love You Truly - The setup.  Two young men, Demetrius and Lysander, fight over one girl, while the other girl longs for attention, causing Theseus (that's Duke Theseus to you), who is planning his own wedding, to step in and urge them to resolve their differences.

  3. Love is Like That - Helena's Lament. As one of the four young lovers, she longs for Demetrius to love her instead of Hermia. So, she concocts a plan to get him.

  4. Let Me Play the Role - The town's craftsmen (known as the Mechanicals) meet to rehearse their new "play" which is to be performed at Theseus' wedding.  The most boisterous of the bunch, Bottom, wants to play all of the acting parts.

  5. Puck - What better way to introduce "The Merry Meddler of the Night"?

  6. Moonbeams - Oberon and Titania serenade each other by the light of the moon until, upon Oberon's discovery that she harbors a little boy, the romance explodes into a bitter fight.

  7. Lullaby Sequence - Oberon plots his revenge on Titania, who arrives with her contingent of fairies, singing her to sleep.  Then, Oberon carries out his malicious deed.

  8. One Love - Lysander and Hermia, on the way to their elopement, pick a place in the woods to rest for the night.

  9. Love is Like That Reprise - Helena, abandoned by Demetrius in the woods, sings (wouldn't you?).

  10. A Fairy Affair - In the Finale of Act I, Bottom is transformed into a donkey (yup, he's a donkey - you can call him what you will); Titania awakens, spies Bottom and falls in love with him (go figure) and the act climaxes in total mayhem.

  11. My Love - Demetrius and Hermia find themselves alone in separate parts of the woods.   He pursues her, while she wanders after being left by Lysander.

  12. My Love, reprise - Demetrius is now the one alone in the woods, after Hermia has run off.

  13. Dawn is Coming - Oberon, feeling remorse, sends Puck off to undo the mischief that's been caused.

  14. Up and Down - Puck, teasing and taunting the Four Lovers exhausts them to sleep in the woods.

  15. He's Mine, a Short Ballet - The Fairies play with the transformed Bottom , and bring him to Titania, who seduces him through her dance.

  16. Sleep, Bottom, Sleep - Titania cradles the exhausted Bottom.

  17. I Like You Like This -   Oberon and Titania, their love restored, sing a love song.

  18. Bottom's Up - Puck and the Fairies restore Bottom to human form.

  19. What My Dream Was - Bottom awakens.

  20. At Last Together - The Four Lovers are awakened by Puck, each paired as they should be.

  21. Let Me Play - Reprise - The Mechanicals meet for their final rehearsal.

  22. Final Sequence - As the Mechanicals finish putting on their "play" for the big Wedding(s), they offer to perform an Epilogue.  Though their offer is refused, everyone celebrates Dream's Happy Ending.
